MASTER TALK AND OPENING CEREMONY OF 9TH JAGRAN FILM FESTIVAL

3,500 submissions across genres from 100 countries, over 200 screenings and 18 cities, India’s biggest travelling film festival i.e. the 9th edition of Jagran Film Festival (JFF) will talk in volumes about cinema in a novel manner. The master class (3:30PM) will include a session wherein actress Tabu along with festival director Mayank Shekhar will talk about her life in cinema. This will be followed by the opening ceremony with Minister of Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad. The opening will also be welcomed with 3 Idiotas – a Mexican remake of multiple award winning Indian film, 3 Idiots.
What will keep you glued to the screen will be an array of screenings to make your best selection from. On one hand, the competition segment will include international and Indian features, short films, Indian documentaries and student Films. The non-competitive segment, on the other hand, will include thematic specials, retrospective, tributes, India showcase, world panorama etc.
The festival commencing in Delhi will tour to other Indian cities like Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Patna, Dehradun, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bhopal, Indore, Gorakhpur, Agra, Ludhiana, Hisar, Meerut and Raipur before concluding in Mumbai in September.
